But does your version work with skinchanger and every other mod based on esx_skin ?
Changing those mods doesn’t count and is not allowed.
guys instead of re-uploading his work and your fixes in dozens of github why not make a pull request?
you are taking credits from a work that in not yours.
But why would you create a server if you can’t even read LUA, learn LUA, JS (which is much more valuable) then think to create something.
Cause some of us have developers to do it for us
If majority of ppl had developers working for “them”, they wouldn’t ask ppl to release something for them. As Naiko said, this is a front end resource, if you can’t even read LUA, JS, C, just do not take it.
If you want quality, do it yourslef. PichotM is a really good exemple since he converted Naiko’s resources into his server “Gta life” without any problem.
True, although I still have a developer, I’m in the process of learning Lua.
And despite my developer being pretty damn good, it still never hurts to look at what other people have created and possibly learn from it and expand your own work.
That’s why we share resources.
Sharing resources is awesome, i don’t mind, really.
I’m just upset when i see people thinking that others are gonna do all the work for them because they are too lazy.
I mean if you don’t even read a programm, don’t try to build a server by taking others resources…
I’d say more “self-entitled” instead of lazy.
W/e, this is an awesome work, done by a french guy ehe
The thing is, this resource has already been reuploaded 2-10 times.
100% useless
Github is made to allow contribution, make a PR when you make a fix it will be easier for everyone
Mio1, I am by no means self-entitled or lazy. I am making a server slowly with the limited time i have (irl job + wife+ etc) . I start learning the languages bit by bit. I respect the man for not sharing but the problem was why is he insulting us, on a premise that if we want it we should make it ourselves this forum would not exist right? We are here to learn and share.
I am not taking credits from his work.
The amount of changes I am doing is impossible to manage in a pull request.
Right now I am using the getData from skinchanger to correctly change all the sliders.
This isn’t an all-round solution for everything.
(In the rules of this section :
FiveM forum releases. You may not re-release any already existing releases from the FiveM forum, unless the original author has given you permission. Generally, one should share improved/edited resources in the original forum topic.
That is what I do. My version may or may not work in the end. But it can help others to continue where they struggle
There is a difference between someone like you and 50% of this topic
I tried to restore back to the original esx_skin, but I no longer loaded the character model after re-entering the game. Can you help me?
Strange, did you tried esx_skin before using this script ?
My version should work of you install everything (esx_identity, esx_skin, skinchanger) Then remove the start esx_skin and add start skincreator.
Before this, my server used esx_skin. But I have tried to change the fivem-map-hipster.
vehicle_generator "airtug" { -54.26639938354492, -1679.548828125, 28.4414, heading = 228.2736053466797 }
spawnpoint 'mp_m_freemode_01' { x = -1352.43, y = -1542.75, z = 4.42268 }

I deleted fivem-map-skater.
Fivem-map-hipster only keeps the above fields.
Well, this is basically the fourms in a nutshell. People fixing an awesome resource then waving it in other people’s faces. But I can understand why people do it. It’s hard work to fix and once you have it going it’s something unique to the your server. But I still agree with sharing is caring especially with ESX resources but meh. @hoegarden31 I shall be making a pull request at some point this week to fix the rotations.
Let us all go back to our normal lives, and appreciate the help of others and the amazing work that @Naiko provided to the community and @hoegarden31 's work to. Just give these 2 guys some time to work on what they have, The speedometer when i helped 1 guy with it i was spammed like hell for it, even tho it was a basic task to do, so let them do their job and appreciate it, instead of flooding this thread with fights
Haha, well you don’t really have to appreciate my work. I do this just so I can learn new stuff.
But I know the feeling about the spammers xD my inbox needs some vacation soon
I made the github so that anyone who can help fix stuff can do it and also helping a version that works with ESX.
People will appreciate your work! Even if you are learning. A lot of people on the forums struggle. Again, I will do what I can with PR’s and whatever.
