To recap, the voice chat settings in my RedM will not turn off. Every time I try to change anything in the voice chat settings, the game prompts me to restart for it to take effect, and upon restart it reverts back to on. This is especially strange, since the game should not be prompting me to restart just to change the voice settings.

I went into my main Red Dead game through the Rockstar Launcher and to turn off voice chat there, and it stayed off. But in RedM, it still reverts back to on. I’ve tried going into the system.xml file to edit the settings there, but it seems that the file only covers video settings.

Any help would be appreciated! Without the voice chat settings turned off, I hear people talking all the time who are not even near me in the server, and it makes it near impossible to play. Its like hearing voices in my head 24/7.
