RedM - Failed to verify the signature of the elevation helper

What is the issue you’re having?

RedM won’t launch. It loads for a few seconds and then gives me the error: “Failed to verify the signature of the elevation helper.” I’ve checked the elevation helper and Windows says its signature is valid and verified, but RedM still won’t launch.

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

I’ve restarted my PC, checked my UAC settings, checked that Rockstar Games Launcher and RedM aren’t set to run as administrator, and checked that Cryptographic Services is running.

I refreshed/reinstalled RedM and its application data, ran DISM /RestoreHealth and SFC /scannow, and checked the RGL-ElevationHelper.exe file. Windows says the helper’s digital signature is valid and verified and that it is signed by Rockstar Games, Inc.

I also replaced/recreated the elevation helper and checked the Windows Code Integrity logs, but RedM still gives me the same error. Rockstar Games Launcher itself opens normally.

What server did you get this issue on?

None — the issue occurs when launching RedM before I can connect to a server.

RedM opens normally, but I am still getting the same crash/error. My RedM version is 2.0.0.35200. I have tried the usual troubleshooting steps but the issue is still happening.
