RedM Did not create desktop shortcut and cannot find install location

RedM Desktop Icon Missing - Please Help

I downloaded RedM, and it downloaded I have all my files, but the actual launcher is nowhere to be found? I cannot find it anywhere; can someone please help?

I only want to post this for future reference. I had this same issue, and this reddit post is the only one I could find on google and there were no answers, and it was locked. I figured out what the most likely cause was. RedM installs itself into whatever folder it is in when you run it. If you download and tell it to open instead of saving it will download to a temp folder for your browser and install itself in said temp folder. It also for whatever reason will not create a shortcut on your desktop, and you will spend a stupid amount of time as, I did, trying to figure out where it installed itself to if you don’t know it behaves this way. Anyway, as I said I don’t need support I just wanted this to be searchable in case it happens to someone else.

Did you try to disable/uninstall your Anti-virus?
Did you start Rockstar Games Launcher not as admin?
