Hey currently the Direct Input option is Settings → Controls is bucket and causes crashes. Join a server, pause the game go to Settings → Controls and set Input Type to Raw Input.

cant do that since, cant even get into a server… having the same issue

Any update on this? I attempted the fix above to no avail

I tried to change the mouse, the type input doing it from Red Dead Online options, and still crashing.

It happens since yesterday, when my RedM client got an update.

Hey since the crash is caused by certain menus, you can probably join a server that doesn’t start with a character selector. For example the test server Cfx hosts RedM test server - September 2022 update (b1491) / Cfx.re

If you can join that, you should be able to change to Raw Input, quit and join your normal server.

90% issiue with character creator nui/menu as gogsi said try to log onto some server without character selector/creator and try to change your settings

Here’s the solution, I just fixed it. Open Redm, find a random server that’s freeroam, I found Poodle’s Palace. You casually join the server let it load, it won’t crash. Head over to settings change the mouse keybind from whatever it is to rawinput, press f8 quit and you are set!

The option to select a server without a character creator, in order to change the input to “Raw Input,” worked and solved the problem.

Thank you all!

still crashing for me
