RedM crash on startup

Did you try to delete caches.xml and try again? Yes, now it doesn’t appear to want to download it again. It crashes right when the application is about to open.

What did you do to get this issue? Redm was updating a 3500mb update and I’m playing red dead story mode, and then RedM starts up and crashes instantly.
What server did you get this issue on? I think Europe, cuz that’s where I live

Did you try to disable/uninstall your Anti-virus? Yes
Did you start Rockstar Games Launcher not as admin? Yes, I also just tried with admin but it doesn’t want to even get past the first loading.

Also add what you already tried so far.
I tried clearing cache, and restarting PC. I tried to run story mode, to maybe refresh the RedM files.

This is what I did to fix this issue.

I had to change the name of the UPDATE file in the red dead redemption 2 folder to something else, updated RedM, then had to go back into it to rename it back to UPDATE, I then signed out of the rockstar launcher, and close it and steam. Opened the rockstar launcher, login and then go to read dead online section (don’t hit play). Then open steam and then REDM…it should work this time.
