Originally I only planned to remake the GTA:O North Yankton Survival but I got curious on what was possible and how far I could take it to bring the nostalgia from old school cod zombies. I’m not gonna yap too much on it, it took just over a week of deep research into decomp, experimenting and testing. I’ll list some features below and a showcase.
This is strictly a SOLO game mode using non-networked entities for everything. I will NOT be doing multiplayer game modes. I believe this would get chaotic with multiple lobbies and buckets running at the same time, eventually running into network entity limits and affecting server performance overall. There are quite a few configurable options and functions available although majority of code is escrowed to prevent you from breaking stuff. I believe my wave spawning logic to be balanced.
Features:
- Recreation of the mystery box with rotating weapons, particle fx and the chance of a teddy bear that will ascend and rotate the box for next round.
- All nostalgic sounds imported with native audio.
- Wall weapons, stamin-up vending machine, pack-a-punch.
- Power ups: Max Ammo, Nuke and Insta-kill.
- Different zombie types: Fire Juggernaut, Blue Pulse Mage, DJ Zombie, the Green Plague Doctor and Possessed Animals.
- Some GTA scaleform/camera work + custom UI to display round starting/completion, current round statistics etc.
Fire Juggernaut - Will set you on fire if real close to you. You can define the round that they can no longer be one tapped to the head.
Blue Pulse Mage - Will explode and pulse ragdoll you and zombies upon death if close. You can define the round that they can no longer be one tapped to the head.
DJ Zombie - Applies a rave based screen effect until killed.
Green Plague - Will continue to drop gas clouds on you every x amount of seconds that can damage you if standing in it, until she is killed.
Possessed Animals - Will apply a bleed effect for a short period of time on you if bitten by one. You’ll notice red smoke particles on your body when you’re in bleeding phase.
QB/QBX/ESX/ND is supported out the box
ox inventory and qb-inventory 2.0 are only supported although others MAY be possible, it all depends on how your inventories manage forced weapons in hand.
