[Question] Preserving In-game keybinds

Hey Guys! My name is Wetter42 - I’m kinda new here, but I hope to makemyself at home in this great community!

I’ll start with a specific modding question. Because (IMO) the default in game keybinds are terrible, I wanted to ask: Is it possible to set the keybinds server wide, OR even, to take the saved keybinds, and store it, to be used later?

Hi Julien!

I’m referring to Keyboard keys! For example, when you press F to enter your car (by default), is it possible (hopefully through config or modding) to change that key to something else and save it so that it stays that config (so I don’t have to always change the keybinds?)

it is possible if you want, but strongly discouraged, because community script take into account the default keys so if you change them, it is possible that you have to change the keys of the scripts, to avoid confusion. example if a script to rob a car with item is the key “E” and you put by default E to get into the car, the script will not understand and can create errors. sorry for my bad English.

I can look if you want, for the default keys but I do not recommend.

to change the default keys, it goes straight into the gta v basic configuration, but it changes for you but not for others … otherwise the fivem .dll file maybe. … sorry i don’t know…
