[Question] How does fiveM (specifically (map) mods) work?

Hello again guys! Just a theoretical question this time!

I’m kind of curious how this stuff works when the server files themselves are running on the excess of megabytes? How does the server render the map files if the game is running based on the player’s game files? I’m just a tad confused by this concept!

Any help in explaining this would be splendid!

The files are downloaded while the client connects to the server and then “mounted” so they can be loaded (if you mean that)

To answer my OWN question, in short, the same thing DOES happen. But from what I believe this comes at a cost. The more information that’s streamed over to the client, the more of a load it will cause, (I think!)
