Project ALPHA: X | NEW UPDATE WIP | #1 Most Played PvE Zombie Survival Server

                                   ***REVIEW***

I’ve played this server since the testing phase and it has been one of the most refreshing experiences I’ve had on FiveM in quite some time. Since that time, they have released the 2.0 version of the server which has brought many new opportunities and improvements for custom mods, systems, and environments. The dev team is constantly pushing out new content and patches to make the gameplay as smooth and fun as possible. Their work shines through with how fast they have grown, and continue to grow the Alpha community. I have yet to have a negative experience with anyone or thing in this server, which can be rare with FiveM communities.

This isn’t a serious RP server or anything. You don’t even have to RP if you don’t want to. Overall its a quite casual experience. However, there are enough RP elements for you and your friends to go off and have a hell of an adventure. Maybe you’ve had a long day? You can just shut your brain off and go zombie hunting and collect some serious loot to profit off of.

Once you are done clearing the streets of the undead, maybe its time to make a base. If you have ever played rust, they building system is similar to that. You will have to upkeep your base. The bigger it is or the better the material, it will cost more wood, stone, or metal to keep it from decaying. And don’t worry, no one can raid your base unless you build in a PvP zone which are marked by red circles on the map.

The custom map is absolutely amazing. It is hand crafted in most areas and really gives you the feel of an apocalypse while roaming the streets and alleys trying to avoid hoards of the undead and mutated zombies. There are loads of different zombies with different attributes and abilities that make you have to adapt your gameplay style in order to survive. On top of that, each area is dependent on what some zombies appear and what they do so it actually makes some sense that they would be in that area “lore” wise. If you’re not careful, its easy to get swarmed or cornered. Always have an exit plan.

                            ***ADMINS AND SUPPORT***

The admin team is full of people who are passionate about the project and want only for it to succeed. Due to that, they are always making sure to try and resolve any issue or confusions that may arise during gameplay. Most admins are active on discord, so if they are not in game, they can try to help you through various chats for whatever the reason may be. They are always greeting the new faces that show up in the server and even help you get started if you are having a rough time.

I hope to see you all out there exploring and having fun in this amazing experience the Alpha team has put together.

  • Lots of new content, new players, and more to come!
Stop by and check out the server. We’ve been listening to the community heavily and making changes where needed.

  • We’ve patched a lot of bugs and had another awesome update tonight. Come check out ALPHA. We’re looking for new mappers and new programmers to join the team. We’re really building something unique and unlike any other.
  • We’ve added an awesome new tutorial system by Uyuyorum!
Come check out the awesome resource!
  • We’re looking for new Mappers and MLO Creators. Feel free to join and share your portfolio. We’re commissioning talented artists only.

So- I started this server with hopes that it would be something great, due to the description of the server and how it looked, and to be fair this server COULD have a massive potential including being the best Zombie Survival server out there. Unfortunately I decided to leave the community, because of disagreements and things not going well about the server, I will state both pros and cons about being part of this server.

Let’s start with the pros;

  • As said, the server has a lot of potential if there was really put effort into it.
  • The server has a decent amount of things to do, but also not so much will elaborate more on negatives
  • A vast variety of weapons and items in general
  • Amazing building features, including private islands, custom islands, different vehicles aswell and lots of places to loot.
  • Missions, Quests and special places.

Cons;

  • The server has quite a bit of errors in console, and they are passed off as “Cfx Related issues”, the server has massive lag/delay issues that the owner is failing to address and look into.
  • The amount of MLO’s and Ymaps with a lack of proper minimaping and lod distances is horrible.
  • The developers are copy paste developers, however he pass them off as some of the most known and famous UK Developers, however so be they aren’t.
  • When confronted about the issues and offering our help, the owner admitted to us he initially IMMEDIATELY took our confronting him as an attack, be as it may all we did was talk about the errors and that we could help out with it, in other words he finds consutrctive critism as an attack and not something to improve upon.
  • Practically all the quests is default quests that hasn’t even been edited, so it’s quests without objectives and proper storytelling and difficulty, making it both lazy and annoying.
  • The owner focuses more of adding and modifying more things, rather than fixing most of the errors and issues that is upon the server, including prioritise people who pay for stuff on the server.
  • As mentioned above, he is prioritising people who is paying for stuff on the server, I was waiting for over 24 hours for a simple house, because he didn’t really bother to come to me but wanted to help out other people who wasn’t even around or available themselves because they were “Experienced” aka had bought stuff.

Again, this server could have had massive potential, but as it is, it isn’t.

I’m sorry you feel this way, as you are the first player to have this sort of opinion or input on the server. Unfortunately, I took your “constructive” criticism as an attack because your friend and you were continuously boasting about your “experience” as a FiveM / RedM developer with knowledge and how you directly “worked” for the QB Project :joy: :joy: :joy:

You constantly cut me off during any explanation of said errors. I simply tried to explain the errors as I’m the pure creator, you are not and nor did you have any making in the development so you should take what I say and go on with that rather than assuming there is a problem that affects things.

  • The owner focuses more of adding and modifying more things, rather than fixing most of the errors and issues that is on the server, including prioritize people who pay for stuff on the server.

Is that something I’m not supposed to do? You’re saying this as if it is a bad thing. The server launched on December 13th 2023, which was up for 30 days before a framework migration. I don’t see the problem, nor do I feel it should be of concern as a player. There are constant updates daily and fixes, please don’t try to use this as a factor, because it’s simply false and we have the evidence to back it via our public changelogs.

We treat all supporters and players the same as regular players, I’m sorry you feel as if this is different, however, I do not treat the next person any differently over the other simply due to donations. This is simply another false accusation with no real evidence to back your claims.

We allow everyone to share their opinions and input based on our server, though I feel as if you’re attempting to degrade rather than leave any actual valid information other than assumptions from your less than 7 days of experience playing.

There are no reports of “delay” / “latency”, truthfully this seems like a client issue due to bad hardware as we have 500+ players and have not once heard of this, nor have I or any of my staff.

If you are a “developer”, then you’d understand how Cfx.re Keymaster Encryption works and should understand there are certain issues out of my hands and that I’m actively working daily to fix these issues.

Players can easily take to the respective channels in our discord to report problems or players. You have done this, and I’ve fixed the reported bug within 2 hours.

Thank you for your opinion, and hopefully you find a better experience that fits more to your liking elsewhere. Rather than attempt to bash new communities because things aren’t exactly how YOU like them, then help contribute by actually doing something instead of writing a forum post that is truthfully leading to nowhere and no change.

P.S - Experienced Survivor is given to those who’ve played the server for a great deal of time. These people aren’t given this role due to the fact they simply support, no clue where you got that information from haha. I also do not boast about the careers of my developers. I have never once done this, nor are they big by far known creators. They’re not and I understand that.

  1. 500+ Players on discord* Is something you should put an emphasis on as the maximum of players being on the server the entire time I was there was 15 players, and when I started there was mostly less than 10 and even 8.
  2. We never boasted about me directly working for QB I don’t directly work for QB, I’m a QBR Framework developer, volunteer, I do have the role which would be considered “Employee” if that’s how you wanna put it. No we mentioned to you I’m a QB Developer and I was willing to help you out with your issues, which was literally the main factor of mentioning it but okay.
  3. Your CFX Keymaster Encryption has literally nothing to say about your lagging, it’s called Ymaps and MLO’s you should probably read up how much they impact performance, as bad as my computer is, another person in the event you put commented on the server lagging, which wasn’t even part of my friend group which you brushed off, ofc you may not have heard it, but that means I’m not the only one, including that every single person in my friend group had delay and lag issues and they have good computers and hardwares.
  4. And last NO you’re NOT supposed to focus on new things when there’s issues on the server effecting performance and logical issues, it’s hard playing a server when there’s lag, and logical issues wont give time to enjoy playing on the server.

I appreciate your feedback and opinion.
Unfortunately, we have different ways of operating a successful server.

Thank you for proving that you don’t care about opinions from people by posting my playtime :), Playing 4-5 hours each day for 5 days straight getting a 1 day and 8 hours playtime is apparently not enough for you? I’m sorry to hear that, thank you for showing everyone your true colors, I wont bother texting anymore, I’ve proven what I wanted to prove. Wish you all luck with the server, your server is not successfull, but surely hope for you it will with the potential it could have, with that being said PEACE.

I listen to all actual constructive criticism and suggestions when it’s properly given and not in a disrespectful way where you and an associate are verbally cutting me off during explanations.

I’ve only taken suggestions from the community since the first day and improved every aspect. I’ll also be ending my conversation with you as I’ve already discussed what I needed.

Take care.

  • Feel free to stop by and check out Project ALPHA. Please feel free to share your opinion and input in our discord where we make changes and have community polls. We’re also in-need of more programmers for custom work

We do not want any egotistic developers who believe they know it all. Please come with a professional mindset, be willing to listen, learn and adapt, and be respectful to peers.
