PRECEDENT ROLEPLAY — FOUNDING DEVELOPMENT TEAM RECRUITMENT
Precedent Roleplay is a new FiveM community currently in early development, being built with one clear goal:
Create a genuinely serious, professional and immersive roleplay environment without the unnecessary economy grind, bloated frameworks and poor standards found across much of FiveM.
Precedent will be a whitelist-only, vMenu-based serious RP community, with a strong focus on high-quality civilian and emergency-services roleplay.
We’re now looking for developers who want to become part of the founding development team and help build the community from the ground up.
Where We Are
This isn’t just an idea waiting for somebody else to build it.
Development has already begun. We currently have:
- Working FXServer development environment
- txAdmin configured and operational
- vMenu installed and working
- Private development Discord
- Project documentation and development tracking
- Defined technical roadmap
- Community organisational structure established
We’re still early in development, meaning the people joining now will have genuine opportunities to influence how Precedent is built.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re interested in speaking with people experienced in:
FiveM Development
Lua/C#/JavaScript, custom resources, ACE permissions, server configuration, integrations, debugging and optimisation.
Systems Development
Discord integrations, bots, APIs, authentication, automation and external-service integrations.
Web Development
Website development, member systems, applications, authentication and community web infrastructure.
Asset Development
Vehicles, EUP, liveries, MLOs, asset implementation and optimisation.
We’re particularly interested in developers who enjoy actually building systems, rather than simply downloading and installing resources.
What We’re Planning
Our current roadmap includes systems such as:
- Discord-controlled whitelist access
- Discord → ACE permissions
- Custom department duty system
- Department and qualification-based permissions
- On-duty emergency-service map/blip system
- Sonoran CAD integration
- Structured LEO and Fire/EMS systems
- Carefully selected vehicle, EUP and map assets
- Fully logged administration
- Custom resources where existing solutions don’t meet our requirements
- Website and wider community infrastructure
Precedent is not an economy server.
There will be no unnecessary money grinding or progression systems standing between members and the roleplay they joined to experience.
The focus is the roleplay itself.
Our Direction
Serious RP doesn’t mean every interaction needs to resemble a military simulation.
It means actions have consequences, scenes are given time to develop, players consider the experience of everyone involved and nobody treats every interaction as something they need to win.
We want systems that support that roleplay rather than get in its way.
Our priority is building a strong community with high standards before worrying about player counts.
Founding Development Team
We’re not looking for somebody to join, install twenty scripts and disappear.
We’re looking for people interested in helping shape the technical foundation of a long-term project.
Our development structure includes positions such as:
Development Director
Lead FiveM Developer
FiveM Developer
Lead Web Developer / Web Developer
Lead Systems Developer / Systems Developer
Lead Asset Developer / Asset Developer
Leadership positions will not simply be given to whoever joins first.
Responsibility will be earned through competence, contribution, reliability and trust. Positions can remain vacant until the right person exists.
Compensation
Precedent is currently an independent, pre-launch project and all development positions are currently voluntary/unpaid.
We’re not going to promise future money that doesn’t currently exist.
If Precedent eventually generates sustainable revenue, compensated development arrangements may be considered, but there are no promises of future payment.
Interested?
If this sounds like something you’d genuinely enjoy helping build, we’d like to hear from you.
When contacting us, please include:
- Age
- Country/timezone
- Development speciality
- FiveM/development experience
- Languages and technologies you’re comfortable with
- Previous projects or communities
- Examples of previous work where available
- Approximate availability
- What interests you about the project
- What you’d like to contribute
We’re not trying to recruit the largest development team possible.
We’re looking for a small group of competent, trustworthy people who want to build something properly.
PRECEDENT ROLEPLAY
Standards before scale. Roleplay before grind.
