WHY PRECEDENT EXISTS
Precedent started because finding a genuinely serious, professional and well-run vMenu roleplay community has become increasingly difficult.
Plenty of communities promise serious roleplay. Plenty describe themselves as professional. Too often, the reality does not match what was advertised.
We want to change that.
Precedent is being built from the ground up around one simple goal: create the kind of vMenu roleplay community we have spent years trying to find ourselves.
This is not about opening another FiveM server as quickly as possible. We are deliberately taking the time to build the technical foundations, community structure, departments, standards and systems properly before asking players to call Precedent home.
We are now looking for the first people who want to help build it.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for people who understand what we’re trying to create, believe in the idea, and have skills or experience that can genuinely help us build it.
You might be someone who has spent years struggling to find a vMenu community that delivers the serious, professional roleplay it promises. You might be someone who has the technical or creative ability to help build that community and wants the opportunity to create something properly from the beginning.
Ideally, you’re both.
We’re not simply looking for people who want a position. We’re looking for people who want Precedent to exist and have something valuable they can contribute towards making it happen.
Whether your experience is in FiveM development, scripting, infrastructure, web development, vehicles, EUP, mapping, UI/UX, testing or another relevant area, we’re interested in what you can bring to the project — not just what title you want.
Precedent is still at the foundation stage. The people joining now are not being brought in to maintain somebody else’s finished server. They’re being given the opportunity to help build the server they themselves would want to play.
BEFORE YOU APPLY
All founding positions are currently voluntary and unpaid.
We want to make that clear from the beginning so nobody’s time is wasted. Precedent is privately funded during development. You will not be expected to pay for server hosting, approved development resources, licences or other project operating costs.
What we’re asking you to contribute is your time, knowledge, skills and experience.
In return, founding members are joining while the foundations are still being built. You will have the opportunity to influence the systems, standards and direction of the area you’re helping create, working alongside other people who share the goal of building something worth being part of.
WHAT PRECEDENT IS AT ITS CORE
Precedent is a vMenu-based FiveM roleplay community focused on serious, immersive and professional roleplay.
We are not trying to reinvent roleplay for the sake of being different. We want to take the things that make vMenu communities great, remove the problems that repeatedly let them down, and build the entire project properly from day one.
That means strong foundations before rapid growth, clearly defined responsibilities, professional departments, sensible development practices, meaningful standards and a community where the quality of roleplay matters more than filling a player count.

WHAT FOUNDING MEANS
Being a founding member does not simply mean having an early Discord role or a title next to your name.
It means joining while decisions are still being made, systems are still being designed and the identity of Precedent is still being formed.
We want people who will challenge ideas when they can be improved, bring their own experience to the table, take ownership of the area they contribute to and work with the rest of the team to build something we can collectively be proud of.
There is no expectation that one person knows everything. We are building a team because different people bring different expertise.
