Potential Download File Virus Corruption

So I’m not sure if this is the right sub channel so for now I’m going to ask here. I keep trying to Download FiveM but my anti virus keeps finding an IDP.ALEXA.51 virus in the files. Is anyone else having this kind of issue?

Note: I have tried reinstalling multiple times and the same thing keeps being found. Normally in the FireM.exe and FireM_GTAProcess.exe files. I have updated my antivirus, Avast, twice since this has occurred to see if it is a false possessive. Again it keeps finding the virus so I don’t think it is a false positive. Any information anyone has would be appreciated in fixing this issue. As a final not I have only downloaded FiveM from your official website.

:mascot:

the definition of a false positive is that it always happens for the same file

it is also known that avast interferes with fivem’s functioning, we can’t fix this and avast refuses to fix this or provide us with the required info to fix this, so suggested is to disable/uninstall it

Fair enough first time Avast has attacked anything this hard but the use of this extension is widely used so I have no reason to distrust it. Thanks for the quick reply.

You can also just add the fivem folder to your exceptions.
