What did you do to get this issue? tried to disable player endpoint privacy
What server did you get this issue on? The Server I run for a Group
CitizenFX.log file empty

I have tried everything last night we had a problem with someone threatening harm to themselfs and to others I contacted the local PD they wanted the players IP I tried everything disabling endpoint privacy etc etc and could not seem to get it for them ultimately thankfully the player came on discord after a hour of coaxing him so the police were able to contact Discord and get the information they needed.

My problem is this what if I couldn’t have gotten them on discord? and they had stayed in game only?
As a father of 2 and former Fire Rescue seconds count I was trying to get my hosting provider to help me they did everything I had done so we could have some sort of log file for the police department and for some ungodly reason it did not work.

Does anyone know of a workaround for a server owner directly no admins etc that can aid should this issue come up again?

If you’re trying to disable endpoint privacy, simply put a # in front of the lines below:

# remove the # to hide player endpoints in external log output
#sv_endpointprivacy true

EDIT: If you’re needing the players IP, a database would be a good idea. This allows you to store player information so that it can be easily accessed.

I tried that I still could not generate any log file what so ever unless I am missing something?

I don’t believe there is an actual ‘log’ of IP’s that connect to your server… I could be wrong though.

However, like I said, it would probably be best to set up a database. This will save player information as soon as they connect to your server. (including IP’s)

the ‘status’ rcon command would’ve showed IPs as well.

Thank you I didn’t even think of rcon I have a ridiculously long password for good reasons and never save it on my desktop I was focusing on logs and what I can get in a rush.
