A message from Los Santos City Council:
Reports of a yet unidentified creature have been sent into our office, but we have yet to confirm the validity of these claims. Please be on the look out for any strange looking wild animals in the city, and please repory any sightings to LSPD as soon as you see them.
These animals should be treated with caution!
Under no circumstances should you feed or name these animals; please report the location immediately!

Sneak peek into our new ped robbing system. Different outcomes and added text bubbles above peds to add more flavor to interactions.
We’re slowly rolling out the comment boxes across different aspects of popcorn to provide little more professional/nice-to-look-at interactive boxes.
If you’re interested in LSPD, we’re recruiting! Crime is being reworked to increase performance and make minigames using GTA-style minigames and original functions.

Not anything specific, but a preview of the general UI and styling updates we’re doing across the city. Trying to keep things familiar and easy to read, but also give people something interesting to look at.

We’ve pushed a brand new update, which adds voices to your player character! This is a FiveM first, with audio being synced between players and being played from your character!
Characters now react when:
- Injured (punches, being run over, falling, etc)
- Tazed
- On Fire
- When dying

Small Update for people, we’ve started to roll out a GPS tracker system for LSPD, as well as improving vehicle handling for highspeed.
- The Comet traction has been improved (recommended for city chases)
- The Elegy maintains the same handling (slightly improved) but with higher top speed (recommended for long line chases on the highway)
- Shinobi top speed has been increased (still the same handling)
We’re trying to keep vehicle max speeds around 130 (150 being the maximum with general boosting/world effects) to keep the feel of driving of GTA 5.

All Gun pull out animations have been improved, with all guns having realistic pull out animations, and realistic carry animations. No more wild swinging and flagging random people!
You carry your gun like a real person would!

Tired of boring drug systems with no use, lame drug RP, or just generally overpowered drugs? Come out and check out Popcorn RP’s new “Bong Wizard” system, which gives drugs real uses for yourself and your friends, making drug addicts and drug use an element of roleplay, economy, and game mechanics!
Cocaine makes you run fast, weed heals, and meth gives you armor at he cost of health.
Not only that, but smoke enough and you can apply this I an AoE around you to enemies and allies!

The ability to manufacture and sell meth is now live!
Meth works slightly differently than weed, with the entire process of creation happening inside of a lab. Considering that it is more profitable, supplies are limited. The main ingredient, Methaphedryne, will slowly resupply over time, so if you find nothing left in the tank, come back later.
This supply is limited city-wide, so make sure you hold down the spot if you want to control supply!

With the help of LSPD and the FIB, the city of Los Santos was able to recover all the LED lights from the 2008 Christmas Light Heist. We’ve put up LED lights across all palm trees in Los Santos!
Until Monday, all palm trees will be lit for you to enjoy taking pictures with! Let us know if you experience any issues with the lights.
We’ll be cycling them in and out occasionally so they’re not stale/overdone, so enjoy!

Introducing the Bong Wizard System, a drug use and “drug casting” system that gives real, effective uses for drugs, and balances them out with actual side effects!
Meth can give you and people around you armor, but at the cost of health, Weed can heal you and your friends, but your aim, vision, and character will be affected in visible ways, giving police and the community opportunity to know who is and isn’t an addict.
We’ve added two drugs, with two more planned which should have fundamentally different effects making addicts (or Bong Wizards) a new type of way to play. Focus on supporting your gang, healing up while on the go, and giving you a new way to participate in combat that isn’t just shooting!
Join us on Popcorn where we’re developing more FiveM firsts, and bringing new life to new mechanics.

Hmm… Something feels off…
The thieves’ guild has established itself in Los Santos, for the lucky few who can earn their trust, a special ring awaits them that will give them the ability to pickpocket unsuspecting targets.
To balance this, we’ve added a minigame and alert system when used, so thieves start practicing and planning! 
The rings won’t be easy to get, so make sure you don’t lose them!

A small revamp of our weapon-throwing system. Weapons now all have proper physics, show which gun is being thrown, and can be picked up and thrown by others.
We’ve used category-specific models to make it more obvious what type of gun you’re picking up, without haven’t to worry about the specific physics of some of the guns that previously were stuck in the air.

Drug Market Update: Cocaine
The drug market expands with the addition of that sweet sweet nose candy! Coca plant patches are rare in the wilderness of San Andreas. Once you’ve located a patch and stuffed your pockets with leaves, the rest of the process is up to you to find out.
Cocaine has the most involved production process but is also the most profitable. Smoke a few bags with the bong to give yourself and your allies a temporary boost of speed!
We’ll be introducing mescaline production soon, so stay tuned.

Quality of Life update: We’ve updated our injury indication system, now players are notified when injured and the screen filter will fade away over time. Should allow players to continue playing without a constant red hue on their screen.
