Poggy Transform 🐺 | [VORP/RSG/QBCORE]

Ninety things to be

Wolves, bears, cougars, panthers, gators. Deer, elk, bison and a whole roster of prey animals. Eagles, owls, crows. Legendary variants. And thirty-two people, from lawmen to swamp folk.

Each one carries its own attack moves, its own brawl style and its own emote set, so being a wolf feels nothing like being a bear.

Attacks that belong to the animal

Every aggressive animal has a primary attack plus its own extra moves, each with separate damage, reach and cooldown:

  • Pounce — the jumping kill, longer reach, longer cooldown
  • Ground attack — the close-quarters swipe
  • Taunt — howl, growl, roar; no damage, all presence

Wolves get the wolf brawl style, bears get the bear one. The animations come from the game’s own creature dictionaries, so a wolf attacking looks like a wolf attacking.

Emotes

Howl, growl, sniff, sit, rest, sleep, and more, per animal. Open the picker with /ae, or fire one directly with /ae howl. /ae stop ends it.

Be a specific person

Admins get two extra tools.

The custom ped box takes any ped model name in the game and turns you into it. Nothing has to be in the config first.

The character browser lists every character on your server. Pick one and you are wearing their exact appearance: face shape, body, clothing, and the colourways they picked. It is applied entirely client-side. Nothing is written to the database, and the character being copied is not touched in any way.

Locked down or wide open, your call

Everything ships unlocked, so it works the moment you start it.

When you want control, put a job name on any entry:

{
    id    = "wolf",
    label = "Wolf",
    model = "A_C_Wolf",
    job = "hunter", -- only the hunter job can become a wolf
}

Job names come from your framework, so use whatever your framework calls them. Admins always bypass.

Framework agnostic

VORP Core, RSG Core, QBCore and RedEM:RP, detected at runtime through poggy_util. There is no setting to change and no version to pick.

Admin access is granted through ACE, so it works identically everywhere:

add_ace group.admin poggy_transform.admin allow

Existing VORP admin groups keep working with no setup at all.

The character browser is the one VORP-only feature. It reads clothing out of VORP’s characters table, and RSG and QBCore store clothing in a completely different shape. On those frameworks the Players tab simply doesn’t appear. Animals and custom ped models work everywhere.

Built to be handed to strangers

  • Every permission is re-derived on the server. What the menu believes about a player is never trusted.
  • Attacks are validated at both ends. The server rate-limits the relay and the target range-checks the attacker, so the event can’t be spammed to hit someone across the map.
  • Peds are cleaned up. Models are released, and stopping the resource puts you back in your own body.
  • A missing card image falls back to an icon, never a broken image.

Yours to change

shared/config.lua, the framework bridge, ui/style.css and the card art are all left outside escrow. Add your own transformables, drop in your own art, restyle the menu, or adapt the bridge to an unusual setup.

Adding one is a few lines and a PNG:

{
    id       = "my_ped",
    label    = "My Ped",
    model    = "A_C_Wolf",
    image    = "my_ped.png",
    category = "predator",
    job      = "",
},

Setup

  1. Drop poggy_transform in your resources folder.
  2. ensure poggy_transform after poggy_util.
  3. Give your admins the ACE permission above.
  4. Read the console. It names your framework, your transformable count, and whether the character browser is available.
