Did you try to delete content_index.xml and try again? No, I did delete the entire fivem folder and reinstall though.

What is the issue you’re having?
FiveM will no longer recognize steam and throws two error windows on startup found below.
What are you trying to do?
Open FiveM and join a city
What have you tried already to fix the issue?
Uninstall and reinstall, turn on and off windows defender and firewall

What did you do to get this issue? I’m not sure, I haven’t done anything to my steam or fivem folders, only thing I can think of is I added a non-steam game to my library but I had that game installed before this error occured
What server did you get this issue on? Be specific and name some, ‘all of them’ by itself isn’t useful!
I will ignore this and say ‘all of them’ because it is not a server specific issue.

I have finally gone through with the excruciatingly slow process of deleting and reinstalling gta and that seems to have worked, no error and I can join the server without a steam error
