Hello, this is a friendly reminder because this is your first time creating a topic (or it has been a while since your last topic) in this category.
Please note that most of the support is provided by the Cfx.re community on a voluntary basis. We ask you to be patient; there is no guarantee we have a solution to your problem(s). To avoid unnecessary/duplicate topics, please browse the forums before creating a topic.
To improve your chances of your issue(s) being solved, please provide as much information as possible about the issue(s) you are having. Also —whenever possible— please use the template given to you when creating a topic.
I am also having this issue, I will list the fixes I tried and others who I have spoken to on the discord have tried just to stop anyone trying them to no avail.
Fresh REDM install
Fresh RDR2 install
fresh windows install
verifying game files
portable install of redm
a bunch of messing arround in cmd and powershell stuff (cant remember specifics)
seems like a relativley new issue as no previous reports other than today
the whole issue stems from redm not being able to acess or create a Digital Entitlements file so I assume its a bug with fresh installs of redm from today
I have the same issue from today, and I have sent forum post few hours ago. Here is a list of things that I have tryed as well:
Data verification for rockstar social club and rdr2
Uninstall and new installation of redm
deleting cache of social club and redm
setting social club and rdr2 to run as admin
same for redm but that was blocked by system
PC restart
along with the various combinations of starting redm and rdr2 with multiple PC restarts
Starting the RDR2 game in multiplayer to see if it is any issue on my end
I already opened a support ticket with the Cfx.re Support team. I recommend that everyone affected by this problem does the same, so they can see that multiple users are experiencing this issue and hopefully investigate and fix it as soon as possible.
The error I’m getting is: “Authentication error – Not allowed for this game type.”
If anyone receives a response from the Cfx.re team, please share it here so we can help each other.
