I’m experiencing a problem where snow does not appear in Rockstar Editor, even though it is active during normal gameplay in FiveM.
When I play the game, the snow is fully enabled and snowfall is visible, and the ground is covered. However, when I record clips and open them in Rockstar Editor, the snow is completely missing. The terrain appears as if there is no snow at all.
I have matched my game settings with other players who do see snow in Rockstar Editor, but despite identical settings, I still don’t get any snow in the Editor. I also checked the visualsettings.dat file, but it doesn’t affect the issue.
It appears that the Editor is not correctly capturing or rendering the active in-game snow, even though it is present during recording.

i found the solution atleast for me deleting NoEditorRestrictions.asi at plugins folder if you guys has that. in my case that solve the problem. and you need to take record again
I will try that and see if it works. If it does nice, but also sucks cause then can’t zoom around the map to take photos. I will reply back if that does fix it
I have found the solution. The issue is to do with the NoEditorRestrictions.asi
Here’s what I did to fix it-
Move NoEditorRestrictions.asi to your desktop (must be removed from plugins/FiveM App Data)
Go into your FiveM server
Record a R* clip in the snow
Close FiveM
Drag NoEditorRestrictions.asi back into plugins
Reopen FiveM, then click the R* Editor button (Bottom Left Corner)
Find and Edit your clip.
Your clip should now have snow, and no restrictions.
To put it short, if you want snow then move NoEditorRestrictions.asi out of your FiveM Application Data. Play FiveM like normal, then when you come to edit your clips, put NoEditorRestrictions.asi back into Plugins before reopening FiveM to edit them.
So, I looked within my FiveM AppData and within that my Plugins and don’t see the “NoEditorRestrictions.asi”. Also I looked in my base GTA5 and didn’t see it there either.
Looking into it on google, I saw its a plugin from LCPDFR. Do you think it would not work if I have never had this installed?
To be honest, I wouldn’t know the answer to that.
You can try installing it from LCPDFR using my steps above, but I wouldn’t have a solution for you sadly.
