WHAT IS NEW ANDREAS COUNTY RP?

New Andreas County is the lore we have decided to go with. The island is not really big enough to be a state, but is big enough to be a large county. So, New Andreas is a county off of the coast of San Andreas. All cities, townships, and other areas do retain their GTA names.

CIVILIANS

Our civilians do not need to apply. Just join the discord with the link below, agree to a basic set of rules (full set of rules on our website), and ask to be whitelisted. We will not take any DM’s asking to be whitelisted. If you can’t follow simple instructions, then please look for a different server to join. We expect our members to have more than one brain cell, even if it means very slow membership growth.

Some of our available, non-whitelisted, civ jobs are:

Different types of standard farming - Some farming items are combinable to create products worth more money. Some products can be sold to our two mechanic shops, if they are buying that is.
Power - Go around the county in your bucket trucks and do jobs to keep the power grid online. Some of these jobs involve getting in the bucket and raising yourself up high to do the job. All jobs will give you a work order when completed. Turn in your truck and work orders to get paid.
Street Sweeper - Just drive around the city in a sweet little Street Sweeper picking up trash from our dirty streets, making money as you work.
Trucking - Drive a rented truck and earn money on each delivery. Deliveries give you level points. Build your levels up to get better paying loads. Eventually, earn enough money to buy your own truck (must be stored at the trucking HQ) and earn even higher paid loads. This can eventually allow you to hire an AI driver to drive your truck for you and earn money while you play elsewhere in the county. Keep the money coming in to buy a 2nd truck and hire a 2nd driver to double that passive income while you RP elsewhere. Be careful though, if you don’t keep enough money in your trucking account, your drivers will quit on you and leave your trucks sitting empty.

Most of our jobs do not require you to sign in. More easy jobs are in the works.

Available whitelisted jobs are:

Mechanic - We have two civilian owned mechanic shops who will need help as the county (hopefully) grows. Be sure to get to know them because it is up to the shop owner to hire you if they want. Mechanics handle all vehicle customizations. This includes a ton of custom engines, turbos, different sport or offroad suspensions, and they can even stance your vehicle or give that 4x4 a fat wheel look.
Car dealerships - Although in the beginning, this will not be available. Once the county population grows, there will be job opportunities at our two dealerships. Maybe even one day, ownership.
Restaurants and Bars - Again, in the beginning, this will not be available. However, as the county population grows, ownership will open up. Once this is a thing, store bought food will be reduced in hunger fill value to allow the restaurants to be needed more. Bars, once allowed, will have the ability to pour and sell shots, glasses of beer, and glasses of wine to their customers. These abilities are already in place, it’s just waiting for an owner to use it.
Real-estate Agent - Sell houses anywhere on the map. Every single house is available to be setup. Homes come unfurnished and the player must go to the furniture store at the YouTool to buy furniture. Houses do not come with storage, you must buy items at the furniture store that provides storage for you. Each storage item is a separate storage.
LEO - More explained below.
Fire/EMS - Currently combined, county population will determine if it gets separated later. Read more below.

Visit the chop shop and get a list of cars to be chopped, go steal them, and take them back. Don’t get caught though.
Drug farms - Not just anyone can use a drug farm. You actually buy them from hidden locations around the map. The more expensive the drug, the more expensive the farm. Once you’ve bought a drug farm, you can hire your friends to come work for you. Go out and collect supplies, bring them back without getting caught, and let the farm do the work for you. Once you’ve finished producing, take your product to the street and start selling to earn a profit. Be careful though, locals love to call the cops.
Hell, get in a little illegal street racing with other cars in the same class as yours. Vehicle classes are setup according to a vehicle’s stock power. So a visit to the local tuner shop will go a long way to winning your race. (race waypoints are random, never the same race twice)

It’s the little details that make a more realistic RP. Eating, drinking, even smoking isn’t automatic. You have to take bites or take drinks. You have to take drags off of your cigarette or joint. You can even share. Eat half a burger and give the rest to a friend. Puff, puff pass is real in New Andreas. Yes, you can pass a joint between friends and all get a little high from it. You can pack a bowl and pass it around as well.

LEO (State / County / City)

Our police department has all of the typical police things. All of our cars share a light and siren package so that they are uniform (our siren packs are streamed).

Be In Any Department - Want to run as a state trooper, you can. The next day, you want to just stay in the city as LSPD, you can. Until our county population grows, we let you run the department you want. When population size requires it, then we’ll consider permanent duty stations.
Cuff a criminal using a hotkey. We got tired of criminals running while our officers try to fumble through a menu just to cuff them. Now it’s just a quick hotkey and you have them. Be mindful though, there is a chance they could fight out of the cuffs while you are cuffing them.
Escort your prisoner is done more realistically. No more sliding criminals. They walk with you while you hold their arm and they don’t clip thru doors and walls.
Evidence collection - Collect bullet casings that can be traced to the weapon they were fired from. The weapons all have serial numbers that follow the weapon, no matter who has it. Currently, this is the only evidence available, however, more is coming.
Ankle Bracelets - Have a player that likes to get into petty trouble (misdemeanors) and doesn’t sweat the short jail times? Maybe it’s time for an Ankle tracker. Restrict them to a certain distance from their home for longer periods of time.
Tired of that player that is constantly speeding. Impound their car. No seriously, when a car is impounded, the player loses access to that car either for a set amount of time or until they pay some high dollar impound fee. You can even restrict it so they need an officer to take it out of impound for them. This way, you can make sure they paid all those back fines before getting their prize ride back.
You buy your squad cars and keep them at one of the police garages. The higher the rank, the better the selection of cars to choose from. This allows you to set them up as you want and keep items in the vehicle so you don’t have to keep getting them again.
Ranks - Explorer (non-solo recruit), officer 1 (solo - probationary), officer 2, corporal (the rank you must be for joining divisions), sergeant, lieutenant, deputy chief (one per department and can only be in one department as the department head.), and Chief of Police (presides over all three departments, currenly a server owner, but will pass the torch to the right person).

FIRE / EMS

For now, this is a combined job. However, this job is also the pride and joy of our county. The New Andreas Fire Department is a completely custom department that has been developed by a real world volunteer fireman and EMS trainer. He has spent over a year developing both sides of this job to give the most realistic RP possible. We have things that aren’t available in any other city. Here is just a small snippet of what you can expect while on this job:

No players die. We say they are “unconscious” and can always be revived. That is, if the player wants to be revived.
Players can be revived out in the field or the EMS can choose to take them to the nearest medical center (Paleto, Sandy, Pillbox, Mt. Zonah, or St. Fiacre).
All players get the normal timer when unconscious, but if being treated in the field, you will see that time go up, not down. Giving the medic more time so they can properly treat you. So don’t sweat it if you only have a couple of minutes left, but be sure to let the medic know using the /me command.
Not good at RP’ing injuries, don’t worry about it, you don’t have to. With our medical system, medics can see your injuries and treat them accordingly or they can patch you up enough to keep you from going unconscious while they get you to the nearest medical center.
Want to run as Fire, we got you. We have full interiors in every GTA fire house. Yes, even Sandy, Paleto, and Rockford Hills.
When you first log in as Fire/EMS, you will be asked what AOR (Area Of Response) you want. Choose from statewide, county (stay in the county), or city (stay in the city). EMS is always statewide. Once you chosen your preferred AOR, you will only receive fire calls in that area so that you can provide faster response times. Yes, we have random fires that only spawn when there are available personnel. No more standing around the fire house twiddling your thumbs or playing pool all day.
You are provided with WORKING SCBA gear that is automatically given to you when you put on your bunker gear. And yes, your oxygen tank can go empty. If you don’t wear your SCBA while fighting a fire, you could pass out from smoke inhalation. Be sure to keep onlookers away as they too can pass out. If you have a co-worker with an empty tank, you can share yours to get them to safety.
Once the fire is out, you still have to clear the smoke. Yes, we have a system in place for that as well.
How about electrical or chemical fires. You don’t use water on those. Switch to foam to put those fires out. Trust me, you’ll know when it’s one of those fires and water can make it worse.

There is soo much more to the Fire and EMS job. I’ve only given you a small snippet of it. This job does require a bit of training.

We have many kinks to work out and with more players to help find the small issues, we’ll be 100% before you know it. Also, again, this recruitment ad is to start filling our ranks. However, don’t go thinking you are going to be put in a leadership position instantly. We aren’t one of those fly by night kid run servers. The owners are both adults with fulltime jobs, wives, kids and grand kids, and everything that comes with it. We only want people that want to help us grow.

We are using ESX as our base (no, we will not be switching to QBCore) and have spent thousands of hours in development to give the best possible RP experience we can. We have built the server that WE would like to play on. Hopefully, so will you.
