“In this city, your name is everything… and your reputation is all you leave behind.”
Lost in the 80s is a serious, slow-burn roleplay server built around progression, reputation, and player-driven storytelling.
There are no shortcuts, instant wealth systems, or handouts. Everything—money, connections, influence—is earned through roleplay. Your actions carry weight, and your reputation directly impacts how you move through the city.
The server is designed to feel alive through its players. Businesses operate, deals happen behind closed doors, and the balance between law enforcement, government, and the streets creates a constant push between order and chaos.
Communication is grounded in the era—no smartphones or instant access. Information spreads through people, not systems, making connections one of the most valuable assets you can have.
Players can build their path through legitimate work, politics, or underground activity, but progression is intentional and takes time. Trust, risk, and decision-making are core to every role.
Key focus:
Story-driven, slow-paced progression
Strong emphasis on realism and immersion
Player-driven economy and interactions
Structured law enforcement and justice systems
No modern or immersion-breaking mechanics
This is a server centered on long-term character development, where every move contributes to a larger, evolving world.
Hey. A 1980’s roleplay server sounds interesting and definietly unique compared to all the current projects.
I’m an experienced developer with many years of experience, specializing in building custom servers from scratch whether by popular frameworks or creating a custom core, custom scripting, UI designs, and web development too.

Hey,
I’m really interested in your project and the idea of building a 1980s-inspired RP server sounds awesome.
I don’t have any public portfolio to show, but I’ve created a lot of my own scripts — mostly custom ones made specifically for the servers I’ve worked on.
I’m familiar with HTML, CSS, JS, and LUA, and I’m pretty flexible when it comes to development — I can adapt and work on pretty much anything that’s needed.
I’d love to join the team and help bring your vision to life. Let me know if you’d like to talk more about what you’re looking for.
Hi, if You are still looking for people to join Your project, I am interested in the idea and would be happy to help make it real to the best of my ability. I have a post here that You can check out so that I do not copy paste bunch of text on your post.
We’re currently looking to expand our team as we continue developing the server. The framework is fully complete — now we’re focused on refining and configuring the in-game economy and overall player experience.
Looking for Developers to help with:
• Criminal underworld systems (drugs, distribution, etc.)
• Economy balancing and money-making methods
• Shop configurations and item setups
• General gameplay features and additions
