Light turns off when daytime

Hey guys,
I ve got a verry dark area and want to light it out with my “prop_wall_light_01a” but when it turns day (and the are is still dark) the light turns off… is there a way to have it still turned on?

Thank you for all ideas and tips!

Prop:

Object Name: prop_wall_light_01a
Object Hash: 962420079
Object Hash (uInt32): 962420079

It happens because of the time flags the prop has, which I don’t think can be modified for a vanilla prop. You could try exporting it, adding the unticked time flags in 3DS Max and reimporting it to see if it works.

What flag do I need to change? I work with Blender and can use this flags:

I haven’t used Blender before so I don’t know which one it is. In 3DS Max, if you add a light model with GIMS, you get the following options (screenshot below). You could try selecting the light source and look for options similar to the ones I sent.

How can I import props from gta?

Apparently, you can edit time flags with CodeWalker too, though I haven’t tried it yet:

I recommend joining the CodeWalker Discord if you are into modeling or mapmaking.

cool, where did you get the ydr from? I just have a ytyp

The light you are looking for seems to come with a yft file. Download CodeWalker, open RPF Explorer, and search for prop_wall_light_01a. Open the yft file, click the previously marked light icon, and tick the time flags. After you are done editing the flags, close the light editor window and save the prop to another location.

Okay, got it, now when I start my ressource (with the new yft inside it) will the prop be used insted of the one ingame? And will it apply to every prop ingame?

It all worked perfect, thank you verry much for that easy solution

If you stream it with the original name it will replace every in-game model of it. If you change its name and create a new ytyp for it, and stream it that way, it should act like a separate prop. Don’t take my word for granted though, I haven’t streamed edited yft files before, only ydr, but I suppose it works the same way.
