Same here. I have tried multiple public IP addresses all with the same error as OP.

Maybe, just maybe the issue you’re having today (some central IP whois server being down, not related to us at all) is not at all related to any of the past cases of this occurring (incorrect referrals from ISP whois servers)?

Stop talking out of your goddamn ass assuming shit. Please.

Also, to everyone else, so actionable right if you don’t provide the IPs you’re trying to use.

194.156.91.82 is the IP I am trying to use that is giving the error.

I won’t be passive-aggressive like others. I’m just trying to legitimately understand what is wrong whether it is a me issue, a CFX issue or a ISP/whois issue. Thanks.

Update: Working now!

Yeah, it seems the whois.iana.org server came back up.
