Keep getting error "7002.1" when booting up RedM

What is the issue you’re having?

Every time I try to open RedM I get error 7002.1, even though I am already logged into my R* account on the launcher. When I try to join any server the loading gets stuck on “triggering initial game load” until the server eventually times me out and kicks me.

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

  • Reinstalled RSL and RedM
  • Verified the installation files for RDR2
  • Moved RedM’s folder to steamapps/common
  • Allowed private and public connection to RedM in the Firewall options
  • Added RDR2.exe, RedM folder and RSL folder to Windows Defender
  • Logging in RSL before opening RedM

Both story and online works fine, it’s just RedM that’s giving me trouble.
