I will keep it 100. The people in Tektonic for the most part are really cool. There will always be things you do not like somewhere on some servers. It says I’ve never played on this server, but I was here for a year and some change. It’s had its ups and down. Staff is “ok”. They are very New Player friendly which is cool. For those of us that have been RP’ing for a very long time, the RP gets extremely stale. OOC drama is/was pretty rampant. A lot of actions that you take in character end up being OOC issues. Trout aka “The Fish” controls in which direction he wants story lines to go, sometimes theres forced RP with it, and some of it being natural.

At Tektonic you can be whatever character you’d like to be to include fictional characters such as elves, aliens, robots, etc. Weird to me but to each their own. Tektonic is a very sit around the camp fire kind of city, as long as you don’t interrupt the status quo. Staff tries to force gang wars in a attempt to stir the pot if you will. You can/will get in trouble if you’re a criminal that does anything to a civilian. Though most of the time the civilians are actually criminals. Metagaming has always been a problem, as with any server. Be wary of the people that have in-city boyfriends/girlfriends because the majority of the relationships in Tektonic are OOC, which in my opinion defeats the purpose of RP. Other than that, like I said there are some really cool people in Tektonic, it just wasn’t for me anymore.

Really isn’t what I wanted from a RP server in the long run. The economy was/is terrible, some story lines didn’t make sense. For instance you perma a gang character only to recreate another character to join the exact same gang. Tiny things like this can take a toll on what you think about a community especially when its staff that does most of it. Tektonic is quick to get rid of script kitties or hackers fairly quickly. Like I said Tektonic has pros and cons like every other server, but just like everywhere if you stick around long enough you begin to see all the cracks and flaws within the community, and nothing being done to fix it…I hope this review helps.

FYI- I have never been banned from this server, or even reprimanded. I’m assuming they wiped me from the database because my crew and myself left.
