Is that illegal to create script with same idea which is already created?

Hello everyone,

A day ago, I received a copyright claim from Sweepz on my Safe Zone Creator script.

The reason given? Apparently, I created a script with similar features.

But here’s my question—what else can you really add to a Safe Zone script? It’s already a limited-feature concept. Even though my script is entirely coded by me, with a different creation menu and a unique way of adding values, I still got hit with a claim.

I need your help in figuring out how we can stop these kinds of policy abusers.

Important: The person who filed the claim is demanding €100 to remove the copyright strike. I can provide SS.

For Example If this is allowed, does that mean every Safe Zone script creator can now start sending copyright claims to others? What’s next—should jaksam send a copyright claim to QS for their Job Creator? Where does it stop?

Would love to hear your thoughts on this. Let’s put an end to these false claims.

Tl’dr: Get a legal person to check this, not an opinion.

That being said, here is my opinion/knowledge:
“Features” cannot really be copyrighted, however their implementation can (e.g. specific code etc).
“Features” can be patented.

An example: Bandai Namco patented “minigames on loading screens” for the PS1 era. No one was allowed to make something like that apart from them. This patent has run out in 2015 however you still barely see any interactable loading screens at all. This just kinda stuck around. Also many games have such short loading screens that it simply isn’t worth the effort anymore.

Thanks! I’ll try to get as much help as I can because I spent a long time thinking and creating. I even added a unique feature to my Safe Zone script, like a blip that appears at an exact location on the map, similar to territories.

As long as you don’t steal any code without the author’s permission you should be fine, but there’s always fine details when it comes to law

Yes that’s the thing youtube didn’t even see and accept copyright

The problem is, there are sooo many ppl now on the cash grab with all these scripts and maps, it has produced multiple releases of similar maps and ideas.

The burden of proof of ip would be difficult, timely and potentially costly. You have to ask yourself, is it worth the fight?

You could go a different tact and re release it as a free asset, therfore you are not making money, reduces the claim that you are profiting off his ip.

It also builds some goodwill with your client base and brings ppl to your tebex who may purchase other assets. (This is done on a daily basis by alot of sellers now)

Just my thoughts and opinon for you to ponder

Is there any way to get direct help from the CFX team?

This person is not stopping and has now sent another copyright claim on Tebex. He is skilled at manipulation, and I’m sure he will report me to CFX next.

The problem is that CFX normally doesn’t reply, so I don’t know what to expect. How can I get in touch with them directly?

This isn’t a Cfx issue though. This is a legal issue that you need to counter with Tebex. It’s between you and the person sending the DMCA notice.

You will need to prove that your code is not stolen or file a counter.
