Increase RedM Player Scope Limit (32 → 64+) – Willing to Fund Development

Hello CitizenFX / Cfx.re Team,

First of all, I want to sincerely thank you for the incredible work you’ve done on RedM. What you’ve built is something truly special, and it has enabled thousands of players and creators to build meaningful roleplay experiences and communities.

I’m writing this message not as a complaint, but as a serious and respectful request regarding one of the biggest technical limitations currently affecting RedM roleplay servers: the 32-player in-scope limitation.

As a server owner, I want to emphasize that when I open and run a RedM server, the benefit is not limited to me alone. A healthy, growing server creates an entire ecosystem:

  • Script developers earn income from selling their work
  • Mappers, designers, and artists get paid
  • Players invest time and money into the platform
  • The overall RedM economy grows alongside it

In other words, servers are not just “projects” — they are a source of livelihood for many people, myself included.

This is why I truly believe that improving the in-scope player limit would have a massive positive impact on RedM as a whole. Even a modest initial increase to 64 players in scope would be a huge step forward and would unlock far better roleplay experiences, especially for large-scale events and populated cities.

I also want to be very clear and transparent:
If the main blocker for working on this limitation is development time or resources, I am personally willing to financially support this effort.
I am prepared to cover the full cost of developers’ salaries for those assigned specifically to researching and implementing a solution to this problem, so long as the work is focused and not wasted.

This message comes from a place of genuine respect for your work and belief in the future of RedM. I wouldn’t be writing this if I didn’t think the platform — and your team — were worth investing in.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and regardless of the outcome, thank you again for everything you’ve already done for the community.

Kind regards,
[Logical/Growth RP]

This is being actively developed as a pull request feat(net/rdr3): physical player extension by Ehbw · Pull Request #3477 · citizenfx/fivem · GitHub

Thank you for the clarification and for linking the pull request.

That’s great to hear, and I really appreciate the work being done on the physical player extension. This is exactly the kind of foundational improvement that large roleplay servers are hoping for.

If this PR reaches a stage where additional testing, profiling, or focused development time would help move it forward, I’m still more than willing to financially support that effort.

Thanks again to everyone involved in pushing this forward.
