IMAGINE // Story-Driven Roleplay, Realistically-Inspired Economy // DISCORD.GG/IMAGINEROLEPLAY

“Imagine how great we could have it if people just roleplayed?”

That question is the foundation of everything that we try to do with Imagine Roleplay. Every decision and development is filtered through that thought, both big and small. Whether it’s adding a few wolves outside of Blackwater to contribute to an ongoing story, or it’s editing the map to remove a chair, replace it with a box, and then place the original chair in a new location, all of the sake of a footnote, we make an effort to support the stories and characters within our server with everything we do. No idea is too big, small, crazy, or simple to not be considered, and at least tried.

With Imagine Roleplay, we don’t just ask that question; we put it to the test, and trust our community to prove that RedM Roleplay can be more than just wild west cops ‘n’ crooks.

:cowboy_hat_face: Customized with Players In Mind :cowboy_hat_face:
Everything that we’ve built, we built with you in mind. From menus, to features, to the world itself, an effort has been made in virtually every system to make it make sense for players both new and experienced. Keybinds, commands, and guides are easily accessible on both our Discord Server and Website that will help guide anyone in whichever direction they wish to take their character.

:skull_and_crossbones: In-Depth Crime :skull_and_crossbones:
Dive deep into the gritty underworld of Valdera as you progress through a wide variety of criminal activities. Start your journey from the bottom as a lowly drug dealer, or highway robber, and work your way up and towards thrilling jobs, stagecoach robberies, and bank heists.

Almost every crime has the potential to lead to bigger, and better rewards. From a Highway Robbery you might find a lockpick that lets you rob a General Store. Inside the register for the General Store you might find a shipping manifest; a crucial part of being able to hold-up a stagecoach. From a robbed stagecoach you may come across the keys to a bank’s security systems, allowing you to successfully rob the place.

For those with grander ambitions, you could always rise to become a criminal mastermind, orchestrating your illicit empire and controlling entire towns from the shadows. Every decision shapes your destiny in our living world, where infamy and power await those daring enough to seize them, so long as you’re smart about it and don’t get caught by the Valdera Sheriff’s Office before your plans come to fruition!

:policeman: Law & Medical :woman_health_worker:
Valdera is always on the lookout for new deputies and doctors. With a robust set of law enforcement mechanics, and a whole host of different medical roleplay styles, there is room for characters to exist within these fields, not just robot cops and robot doctors going through the same set of /me commands.

:earth_americas: Detailed & Immersive World :earth_americas:
Red Dead Redemption II features one of the most detailed worlds in gaming, and so we wanted to lean into that, rather than try to reinvent that particular wheel. As such, almost all of our NPC vendors, player-owned businesses, and services are placed in locations that just make sense.

Similarly, we’ve hidden all of our shady workbenches and illegal activity vendors in locations that… well… you could probably guess fairly quickly if you know a little somethin’ somethin’ about the world of Red Dead Redemption II. Some of them, however, roam around a little, so they’ll not always be in the same location from one day to the next.

The criminal world isn’t the only one with secret locations. Explore Valdera enough and you may come across unmarked mining spots with better loot than those more commonly known. Look a little deeper and you may even come across traces of, and references to, old stories stretching back months, and even years.

Finally, we’ve extended the in-game day/night cycle to last for three real life hours, meaning you’ve got plenty of time during the day to do whatever you want to do, but equally have a decent amount of night time, allowing you to operate a little more covertly under the cover of darkness, if that’s your kind of thing. With a server restart every six hours, this gives two, full in-game days per restart cycle.

:horse: Stables & Horse Customization :zebra:
In each town, you’ll find a stable with a variety of horses to choose from. Whether you’re looking for a trusty steed to get you around or something more flashy, like a wagon, you’re sure to find something that’ll get you from A to B. If you can’t then you might be able to work with a Horse Trainer to get yourself something a little more unique, whether that’s a horse with a rarer coat, or the foal of two, high-performance race horses.

Our in depth horse training system allows you to work with Horse Trainers to improve your horse’s skills and abilities such as speed, acceleration, handling, courage, and more. If you’re lucky, you might even find a rare horse that isn’t usually found in the wild in Red Dead Redemption II, meaning you completely skip the upfront cost of purchasing it!

Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just starting out, we guarantee that we have something for you.

:moneybag: Flexible Economy :moneybag:
A healthy economy is essential for a thriving roleplay community, so our economy is designed to be both flexible and responsive, allowing us to work closely with the community to maintain a balance that is fun and fair for players both new and established, and that fits within the world and time of Red Dead Redemption II.

You will begin your journey in Valdera with the clothes on your back, $250 in cash, some bread, some water, and a knife - but upgrades and improvements are never too far away.

You can visit an NPC gunsmith to purchase some basic weapons, or work with a player-gunsmith for something more powerful, and likely cheaper than what’s available over the counter. Once secured, you can then work with them to customize your weapons to make them truly unique to you and your character.

Almost every town has a butcher that’s willing to buy whatever you hunt, there are hardware stores that will purchase whatever you mine or chop from a tree, and fishmongers are more than happy to take whatever you catch. However the real, legal money, is made from working with other players, such as Saloon Owners, Furniture Makers, Gunsmiths, and even Doctors, to help them gather the ingredients needed for their jobs.

:necktie: Player-Owned Businesses :necktie:
We believe that a thriving player-owned business system can help in creating a truly vibrant and engaging roleplay experience. That’s why we’ve worked closely with our community to create a system that is both flexible and responsive, allowing us to create businesses that will only serve to better service the in-character community at large, and that can be used with minimal intervention from our team, ensuring that your business is truly yours.

:national_park: Area of Play :desert:
Something of an older idea, we have elected to impose an Area of Play on Imagine Roleplay, with all of our stories taking place within New Austin and West Elizabeth - two counties of the greater State of Valdera itself - in order to ensure that the scale of our world matches the scale of our community.

It is no secret that Red Dead Redemption II features a world that is so easy to get lost in that it can sometimes be hard to find other people to interact with, especially in smaller communities and off-peak hours. Since our launch, this experiment with bringing back an Area of Play to a roleplay server has proved itself to be an inspired choice. This has been a huge success in terms of creating actual, consistent, and almost non-stop roleplay between community members and their characters, despite us being a new, and smaller community.

It is, of course, our plan to expand these borders, and one day open up the entire map to our community, full of new features, stores, and roleplay opportunities. However, this is a decision that we wish to make as a community, and as we grow, to make sure that expanded borders aren’t going to dilute and diminish the roleplay that is already happening.
