Let me start this off by saying that Goldrush has a phenomenal community. You’ll be overwhelmed by the love and support from the community and it’s members.
Unfortunately however, you’ll also be overwhelmed by the sheer disregard and lack of polish this server has.
I’ve played on Goldrush off and on for about a year and of all the servers I’ve played on… I’ve never seen a server so poorly put together.
It’d be one thing if the staff showed any inkling of dedication, humility, and ingenuity toward fixing the problems the server has.
Instead, more often than not… Staff will tell you there is nothing they can do to rectify the server deleting the fruits of hours worth of your labor.
They opt instead to blame the player for misuse of their already broken mechanics & scripts, and refuse to help when massive amounts of time and roleplay are lost to their failure.
Admins and Support staff are also very cavalier in their tickets and will frequently flip tickets against the reporting player to get a cheap and often trumped up ban or warning… Power trip behaviour to the 'nth degree.
They brand their server as “SeriousRP” but expect you to spend the majority of your time playing doing the same menial task for hours on end, just to see enough money in your account to not have to worry about starvation.
Half the time players aren’t roleplaying at all… They’re standing in one spot pressing a single key over and over again while fighting against the scripts themselves just to make a complete pittance.
The very real prospect that all that time and effort can be pissed away because items can be dropped through walls and staff refuses to reimburse you for it just points to the fact that this server and it’s staff aren’t out for the players.
Simply put, there are far better servers to dedicate your time to
