i cant connect to any server. it says connection failed while attempting to authenticate

I downloaded gta5 from steam, singled out the installation folder and it lets me log on to FiveM but wont authenticate

I have re-downloaded everything and even cleared the caches etc. I am new to gaming on a computer so any help would be greatly appreciated. i just spent $1400 on this ROG STRIX just so i could finally play GTA5 RP

And did you do what the error message tells you to?

yes i synced my clock and downloaded discord, now fiveM wont load

Wont load as in nothing comes up at all or you get another/different error?
