It appears that i tried to publish my First Release on the FiveM Resources release page like everyone else does.
However I know that there is some sort of “permission based system” where a user has limited access because of various reasons for e.x:
“You did not reacted to any post? No Access to this” which is completely fine i.g.
Then filled with joy I tried to release my resource which is also free on github and created a post in the release section which immediatelly gave me a notify saying something like
“A Moderator has to review this”
i thought oh ok maybe it is because i just been on the forum for 3 years and read letter for letter without ever writing a post or reacting to one. Now i don’t even see this type of notification anymore so im guessing the “Review from a Moderator” was declined?
Is it beeing reviewed or did a Moderator just pressed DENY? I think that some sort of notification like: “The Review Request has been denied” would be very helpful.
Let me be free and allow me to release my resources…
What are your thoughts related to this? Or does someone else knows more related to this?
if i remember right … unless they changed this … but this is ran on a trusted level … so it mean you have to be active in this site for a little before you can post any releases … now i could be 200000% wrong
I don’t think they changed it tbh… What else am i supposed to do instead of reading? I don’t want to give likes to a post or leave nonsense comments on posts where i don’t want to , just to get to a certain “trust level”. I would say i’m active… but they don’t
Maybe with this interaction i’m able too post my releases soon xD.
All releases require moderator approval before they are posted. In some instances, you should get a message stating why it was denied if it was. However, there are times you won’t get a message and that means you did not follow something within the release rules. If you don’t know if it was denied or not you can go to your profile and there is a section for pending topics.
Its been a while since this mechanism of pre-approval has been put in place for each and every post…earlier it was rule based as far as I am aware.
Someone from the community could pick a task to make a simple website and allow people to post their resources quickly there. It’ll take a while to gain traction, but it could actually be a big win for creators who might be facing issues due to “the amount of time” associated with release approval here. Would require some strategy in implementing it in a sustainable way, but why not
