How to add PROPS to SINGEL PLAYER models (e.g s_m_y_cop_01) in LUA?

Does anyone know how to do this? For instance add a hat to s_my_y_cop_01. I have tried SetPedComponentVariation and SetPedPropIndex. Might have done it wrong. Does anyone know how to do this?
