I put on the settings for voice chat. I can hear but i cannot speak
it does not allow me to use voice volume
Please help me, I am sick of it. I need it for RP.
Are you sure the input device is set properly? It’s set such that your microphone is plugged into the back of your computer, according to your settings.
I was clarifying if your microphone was actually plugged into the back of your computer. If it is, your settings are correct. If you set your voice chat mode as voice activation does it work?
I can now safely say I’m having the same issue. I can hear myself in the preview, but my friend can’t hear me and I can’t hear him when he talks. Looking at the other topics related to this doesn’t really provide much help/info (that I’ve seen).
Screen overlays like shadowplay have prevented me from using voice chat before, try disabling that. When I was making my voice chat resource and needed to test it I noticed my voice was not being activated, turned out my microphone is broken. Probably a silly question but are you sure your microphone is working outside of FiveM? (@xlxAciDxlx not talking to you, not sure what your issue is/could be.)
Might have been a stupid thing to overlook, but apparently at some point I changed my voice channel through Lamba. I’m currently waiting for my friend to get on so I can see if that fixes it.
@dyltom2712 Double check your settings if you’re using Lambda. If not, I’m not sure what your issue could be. Mine was just that my voice channel wasn’t set to the default through Lambda Menu.
I’ve had the same issue. What fixed it for me was hitting “Reset to default” in the voice chat settings after setting the settings up. You would think everything goes back to blank, but no. It totally fixed it for me. It’s worth a try!
