[HELP] [LUA] Passing object from client to server

I’m having a problem with my script. I am currently trying to pass an object from the client to the server.

This object contains multiple values including:

Player Source
Vector3 Location
Weapon-Hash

The function creating the object looks like this:

        weapon = weaponhash;

        getSuspect = function(self)
            return self.suspect;
        end;

        getWeaponhash = function(self)
            return self.weapon;

        getLocation = function(self)
            return self.loc;
        end;
    }
    return evidence;
end

Using values from within the object works just fine. (on the client atleast)
Now i’m trying to pass the object to the server, so I can append it to a list.

Client

local evidence = create_evidence(player, weapon, location) 
TriggerServerEvent('AddEvidenceSV', GetPlayerServerId(PlayerId()), evidence)

Server

RegisterServerEvent('AddEvidenceSV')
AddEventHandler('AddEvidenceSV', function(source, evidence)
    local name = GetPlayerName(evidence:getSuspect())
    print(name)
    table.insert(evidence_list, evidence)
    TriggerClientEvent('AddEvidenceCL', -1, source, evidence)
end)

Right here i’m trying to check, if the object was correctly passed over to the server, by trying to print the name of the “suspect”. However this seems to crash the server instance of the script.

I know this is a lot of code, but I just can’t seem to get it to work and I’m not quite sure, what I should do right now.

I’m fairly new to this and I would appreciate any kind of help you can provide !

Seems like I found the solution, although it’s not really a solution more of a workaround:

OK so I went and had a chat in discord with some knowledgeable people. We came to the conclusion that you in fact cannot send complete objects via TriggerClientEvent and TriggerServerEvent. Rather you would send the individual properties and reconstruct the Object on the receiving side. This could also be achieved using JSON to serialize the object and then de-serialize on the receiving side. If what I written here is inaccurate then please correct me.
