I have been developing my own server for a short time. It runs on QBCore and uses ox_inventory. I’ve noticed that on many servers I’ve watched and taken inspiration from, players are able to have large weapons (like Assault Rifles or Carbine Rifles) equipped while inside a vehicle. While they cannot fire them from inside the car, they don’t need to re-equip the weapon upon exiting.
On my own server, however, when I attempt to use a large weapon inside a vehicle, the system prevents me. Ox_inventory shows a notification stating that I cannot use it there.
Basically you need to edit the code of ox_inventory, wherever it has anything to do with rifles in cars, and allow them to be used. And no, I cant help you to actually do that, but it wouldn’t take a lot of code expertise to pull off.
Thank you for trying to help. However, when I looked at the ox_inventory documentation, I couldn’t find any exports or general code related to this issue. So, I’m asking for help by opening this thread on the forum.
