[Help] Hide UI doesn't work and freeze entire script

Hello. So I wanted to add simple thing like hiding UI when player press ESC. I adde this to the client script:

Citizen.CreateThread(function()
    while true do
        if IsPauseMenuActive() then
            TriggerEvent('ui:toggle',false)
        else
            TriggerEvent('ui:toggle',true)
        end
    end
end)

And that is not working because when I add that it makes entire script not working. Should I make a function instead of just putting that into thread or what? Any tips appreciated.

Add a Wait(0) in your while loop so it doesn’t freeze the game
