[Help] Blue lights on Captain14's Pack

Hi there,

I’m reaching out to the community to see if anyone can help me with a small issue.

I’m attempting to change the lights on Captain14’s pack to all blue for my State Patrol vehicles. I have each department’s vehicle packs separate (LSPD, BCSO and SASP), meaning you spawn SASP vehicles with SASP2,3,4 etc.

I’ve tried to install the new carcols file from LCPDFR that is supposed to change the lights to blue, as well as modified the textures in OpenIV but when in game it does not function, and the environment lights are still red and blue.

Has anyone gotten this to work?

Our server has that pack in all blue. It was definitely a process to get them working properly (to say the least). The Cap pack uses custom carcols.meta files. Make sure the carvariations.meta is pointing to the “all blue” carcols you added. We customized the default Cap pack carcols to change everything to blue so I’m not sure which LCPDFR carcols you’re talking about. So in a nut shell either the carvariations is pointing to the wrong carcols or the carcols are not edited to be all blue (hence the red/blue enviro lighting). Also, once you do get them all blue the next fun part is figuring out why half the light bar looks purple from a distance and the other half blue.

@Dixxycup is that what you used? Do your other departments have red and blues and you have one department with just blue?

We edited the carcols.meta that comes w/ the captain pack to be all blue but that one should work too. Just verify the carvariations.meta is pointing to the right sirens setting. I don’t know how you’re streaming your files but I’m assuming via combined metas. So make sure you only have one sirens group per carcols.meta (you can’t have multiples in one meta otherwise they wont work). So one sirens group, one lights group, etc. We are state police and all our vehicles run all blues.

What i used, and its working perfectly for me.

same all you have to do is throw the cars in openiv and put the new light textures on them and carvariations.meta i believe

Well, what you have to do is replace the Vehicle Light Textures on all Captain14’s Vehicles via OpenIV, then replace the carcols.meta. Then you’ll be all set to go!

Alright I try that. If I recall I did that last time and it didn’t work correctly, but I’ll definitely give it a try.

Well, it was as simple as just installing the modded lights, lmao.
