I’m sure you could use IS_CONTROL_JUST_PRESSED and IS_CONTROL_JUST_RELEASED so it will toggle with your mic key.

So everytime when you press N to chat to someone next to you. this will make the ped grab the hand mic?

No, like pick up an object (or place it) on the ground. Player bends, stretches his arm to the ground and then goes stright.
