GPS Script

I am trying to make a script where you can type in chat /gps (roadname) and it then sets a waypoint to that location, I think I have to use SetBlipRoute(x y z) but I dont know how to properly build it any help would be greatly appreciated I have been looking around and the topics that are open didnt really help me when I tried it

Maybe there is a built in native for this, or maybe you can somehow use the built in cockstar lists but if not, here would be my solution:

Your best bet is to make a list of all the GTA 5 street names and their relative coordinates, this is probably not the best solution, but I would personally use json for this. You would need to get coordinates of each street and put them in your list, i.e

Eclipse Boulevard : x, y, z

Then you can check for a match in your list for the given argument, for example if the user types /gps eclip then it should recognize that “eclip” and set the gps to Eclipse Boulevard =) This sounds like another script that isn’t hard to write, it’s just a big hassle and will take time

You will need to create a dictionary of strings and vector3.
In lua it should look like

Roads = {
   ["Some road"] = {X: 00.0, Y: 00.0, Z: 00m0}
}

In C#

Dictionary<string, vector3> Roads = {
    {"Some Road", new vector3(00.0, 00.0, 00.0)}
}

Then you can serialise these to a XML or JSON or any other type of file then load it dynamicly.

You dont need a road dictionary. Iv’e actually made this in the past lemme dig it up.
