Galileo and Newton

Galileo and Newton both believed in a heliocentric model, which states that the sun is at the center of our solar system and that we orbit it. Starting with Newton, both have made significant contributions to the scientific community. He devised the three laws of motion as well as the universal gravitational laws. With his homemade telescope, Galileo was the first to discover Jupiter’s four moons, giving him the power to formulate ideas about the universe. He discovered that our moon’s surface is bumpy and cratered, and that there are more stars in the Milky Way than previously thought. Both scientists shared a passion for space and the advancement of humanity.
