FXServer’s are so much harder to use, I think you guys should bring CFX Servers back. I enjoyed CFX servers a lot more and I bet a lot of people feel the same way I do. So please FiveM bring it back, they were so much easier to use and less irritating.
It’s not that I can’t run it, it’s because it’s not easy to use. I know how to run a FXServer, but I am just saying that it is not something we should have done.
It’s not rude to state the obvious. And by your logic we should still be on Windows XP. Things progress, get better and so should you. It’s not easy because you don’t know what you’re doing. Learn and it will be easy. You think I knew Lua when I joined this forum? No, I learned.
What? Dozens of YouTube videos dedicated to installation process of FXServer, not to forget the structured wiki. https://wiki.fivem.net/wiki/Running_FXServer
This seems to be more of a personal issue, as hundreds of server owners have setup their server without any fuss.
So are we going backwards now? Do you have any idea how many documented issues and stability issues there were with the ‘temporary’ CFX server? ZeroSync is coming out very soon next year. Such major update would have been near impossible on the old messy server. Setting up FXServer is a one-time setup.
But usage is the same? Installation slightly differed but it’s not something you do everyday.
Let’s not forget that this is an open-source project, and the CitizenFX Collective invest whatever spare time they have into making what FiveM is today.
I mean just because it is easier to “use” CFX does NOT mean its better… It wouldn’t be hard if people would just adapt to changes and stop complaining about it. It has been changed and will NOT be going back to CFX it has been stated many times by the elements. So why keep making topics when the answers are literally on other topics.
I said what I said because of his approach. He didn’t ask for help, he didn’t say what he didn’t like. He just said fx sucks. Instead of throwing in the towel and wanting a revert. Learn. Ask. The entire forum is here for you. It’s all about approach. What exactly are you having issues with? Start there.
All you are going to say is that FXServers “suck”
What reasons do you have…
These are your reasons
Easier to Use
Less Irritating
I have never seen how FX is More Irritating than CFX.
There is so much more structure and organization, not to mention documentation, with how to use FXServers, that there is no way you can say it is not as easy to use.
Can you at least provide something with valid reasons, if you even are going to make a post like this (you really shouldn’t, because there is no way FiveM will roll backwards, than forward, especially with OneSync coming soon).
But then again, he is an external moderator, and may know more than we do
So maybe there is something else called ZeroSync, that will release with OneSync, or it may be is OneSync renamed.
I’m not sure.
AFAIK, ZeroSync is the name of the codebase the Devs are currently working on to get towards OneSync.
Quote from one of them in the Discord:
‘you have to go past 0 to get to 1’
They’ve also posted on their Twitter that prototyping of ZeroSync should start soon. So, If I would have to guess I would say ZeroSync will be tested and stuff and then the code will be polished up and released as OneSync (could be wrong).
FX server does suck ass, My server use to run like a Ferrari till FORCED to run the FX shit, Now its just D-synk and FPS droping to low teens for any player on the server, explain that one.
I couldn’t help it. Spelling is the key to getting your word out - well, sometimes. You have to understand that almost everyone I knew complained about the poor performance of CitMP server, and progression meant that the Collective had to refactor a big portion of the codebase.
Stop running copy+paste shitty servers with poorly made resources then? Server performance has always been optimal for me, also taking into factor my stable connection to the internet. Poor server performance almost always falls under the amount of resources you have, the quality of those resources, as well as the quantity, not forgetting notorious vehicle packs or skins. No need to attack, instead if you have any issues, it is best to report those issues in a civilised manner.
