Did you try to disable/uninstall your Anti-virus? Disabled it for FiveM
Also add what you already tried so far : Enabling the “Disable Fullscreen optimization” on FiveM, Reinstalling 6 times FiveM, Disabling the Firewall for FiveM, Moving FiveM from my SSD with the OS on it to my HDD with GTA in it.
So Hello, I downloaded Five M and GTA 5 yesterday and since that moment, I’m trying to join servers but it crashes absolutely everytime when I join it, at first, my cursor wasn’t even moving on the FiveM hub, I had to reinstall it to make the hub work and since that I got all different crash issues:
Sometimes a black screen at the launch, sometimes a complete freeze of my whole computer, and sometimes when FiveM crashes it even changes the display resolution ! Now, I completely reinstalled FiveM 6 times and the bugs remaining are : When I join a server, there are 3 different issues :
Sometimes FiveM completely crashes at the moment I join the server
Sometimes it works, I can move but there are no textures charged, only the cars and when I interact with something it crashes
And sometimes I can move, the textures are charged but when I interact with something it crashes.
And everytime it crashes there is no error message so I dont find anything to fix that, I bought the game only to play GTA Rp and I cant so Im completely desesperated and I hope you could help me, thanks

I was able to move but I think there were some missing textures, I also forgot to mention that when I join a server, when I press Esc to go to the settings, there is an infinite loading that I can leave only by pressing P
By the way, when I do an Alt + Tab while on a server, when I come back to the game, it freezes to a black screen and I have to shut it down with the task manager, I hope you can help me, thanks !
Double edit : I just seen that the screenshot didnt work, I spawned in something that looks like a weed field and was trapped in it
Well it also crashes sometimes but not something as much disturbing as what i’m experiencing with Five M, I’m actually doing a verification of the integrity of my gta 5 files via Steam !
Hello, thanks for the reply, I’m currently redownloading Gta 5 and I’m trying to manage my virtual memory, I followed the tutorial and I’m at the last step where I have to put an initial amount of virtual memory and a maximal one but I dont know how much I should put for 8go of RAM on my computer, do you have any advice please ? If you only have 8GB of ram how much memory is actually being used before GTA5 is actually open? check task manager as its possible you are running out of ram, last thing you want to do is run out of memory and run into the page file as that will slow the living crap out of everything.
make sure you dont got to many things running in the background eating memory or i would otherwise suggest upgrading to 16GB of ram, a lot of servers these days seem to have over 200 resources and its a memory killer.
If I remember, when I was in the game, the RAM wasn’t taken at more than 70% so I think I have enough.
It’s in my plans to upgrade my RAM, btw I don’t know if I can ask it here but if I buy 4gb of RAM, will it be enough to be calm with every actual game or do I really have to buy 8go of RAM for 70 € ?
honestly, most of todays games are recommending 16GB i would just bite the bullet theres a lot of people struggling with 8GB of ram even more so with FiveM and some of these poorly optimized resources on servers.
Yeah but I have a lot of friends that play Gta RP with only 8go of RAM and they dont have a single problem.
I just reinstalled gta 5 and the problem is still here so I think im going to do the trick with the virtual memory size
you can try it but keep in mind theres a reason for it running into the virtual memory it will be a temp solution however until you are able to get more memory.
However i never seen something complain about the page file being to small before so thats interesting that its even complaining about it as it means not only are you going over your memory limit but some how your page file is really really small.
I understand, I’ll try to buy lore RAM asap, but the pagefile trick worked !
