If you’ve already invested in QS Smartphone Pro, you know how much it changes the FiveM phone experience compared to default phones. You also know that most “phone apps” sold across the FiveM marketplace are generic iframes that completely ignore QS Smartphone’s design language.
The HZ-Weather QS Smartphone App is different. It’s structured around QS Smartphone’s component architecture and uses the phone’s own theming variables — so when your players switch QS Smartphone theme, the weather app follows automatically.
App Features
Live weather state
Pulled from HZ-Weather Pro via server exports, reflected in the app instantly when conditions change. No refresh button needed — state bag sync handles propagation.
Zone-aware temperature
Uses HZ-Weather Pro’s per-zone temperature system. The app reads the player’s current position, identifies the active zone (Los Santos, Blaine County, Cayo Perico, any custom zone), and shows the right temperature with the right unit (°C / °F toggle).
Weather forecast strip
Horizontal scroll of upcoming weather conditions. Pulls from HZ-Weather Pro’s transition queue and season cycle to predict next states. Each forecast slot shows the predicted weather icon and approximate time-of-onset.
Animated condition icons
13 weather states, each with its own animation. Built as lightweight SVG animations (not GIFs, not heavy Lottie payloads) to stay performant on QS Smartphone’s NUI without dropping frames.
Season + wind indicator
Compact widget showing current season (Spring / Summer / Autumn / Winter) and wind speed/direction. Wind direction is shown as a rotating arrow synced with HZ-Weather Pro’s wind system.
Sunrise / Sunset
Calculated from the in-game time managed by HZ-Weather Pro’s time module. Updates as time progresses on the server.
Severe weather alerts
When a tornado or tsunami event triggers on the server, the app pushes a QS Smartphone notification with the event phase (Warning / Active / Dissipating). Players get warned before stepping outside.
Dynamic theme adaptation
The app reads QS Smartphone’s current theme variables and adapts its color palette accordingly. Dark mode, light mode, custom server themes — all supported without per-server reconfiguration.

The app sleeps entirely when closed — no client tick, no network polling. State sync uses native FiveM state bags, not loops.
