Update for everyone. I struggle with motivation and get overwhelmed with big projects quite easily. Unfortunately ELC is something that I’ve gotten overwhelmed with…

Good news is that I’ve found some motivation to come and work on it again, the biggest change I’ve done to it in a while is switching how staging works in order to allow for more fun roleplay scenarios to happen.

Old way:

Stage 1: TA
Stage 2: TA + Secondaries
Stage 3: TA + Sec + Primary

New way:

Stage 1: rear lights
Stage 2: front lights
Stage 3: all lights

The main reason for this change is in the sense of FiveM theres not really much difference between secondary lights and primary with the exception of lightbars… In effort to make it so vehicle creators can create even more options it was changed to allow more configuration.

Please excuse the patterns… they had to be modified to test this

Preview of new stage way:

Still very keen on what comes from ELC and I’m certain many others are too.

We’ve all been there with the motivation, so hopefully you do get the desire to finish it!

Hello there
how does it actually look like when you publish the elc? is there also somehow a car that runs on elc? because I don’t think that the els cars will really work and we want to switch to elc with our server because you know yourself els makes a lot of problems

Only said Thursday so people can review on thursday friday and then start working on things over the weekend.

Otherwise when ever you want my man.

Appreciate the update!

Pretty sure this is to assist in the correcting of these problems…

There will be ELC specific vehicles on release. It’s a whole new style of vehicle development so I’m making sure we document everything.

While the documentation page is very much still WIP it gives you a bit of an idea of how things are laid out. The hardest part for ELC is getting meta setup.

As much as I love everyone wanting it Tuesday… hopeful release is Thursday just so I can finish recording videos and documenting things!

i’m shocked i have full respect for the work you do and i’m willing to pay for it but well over usd 30 per month or once 90 usd is too much money for us as a small project, i didn’t expect that then i wanted to continue Fight with the els rum = / I still hope that the elc will be a complete success

Totally understand! Like most things there was nothing else to judge pricing off of, so it’s definitely subject to change depending on how the community feels. If you want to send me a PM and we can discuss it some I’d love that!

Part of my goal is to make it available to everyone while also providing at minimum 1 update a month. Do note too there are 1 time update packages. After purchasing that, to upgrade to a newer version will only be $10 WHEN you feel like an update is worth it

Just a quick note to start with, remove the discord link in the amended op, releases still must not contain one.

Pop it onto your tebex.

Regarding pricing. About to buy the one off because you deserve it.

In terms of pricing monthly vs updates.
Id recommend dropping it to allow mass adoption, and restrict updates untill x amount of subscriptions are met. Eg 50-100.

Around $5-$8.50 would be something a wide spread adoption of servers can afford, from small groups of mates to larger cash driven communities.

Once more vehicles supporting this are avaliable then more and more will subscribe. It will then become both a stream of revenue to dedicate time towards and also something you can try to push to model makers as a better solution for lighting, such as reaching out to them on their posts here or in dm’s and assisting in elc versions made in co-operation with yourself.

Much love as always.

Love the feedback! The biggest thing about ELC is it’s just new. With that in mind in a celebration of releasing the script and to allow everyone to get acclimated to the setup of ELC, I have decided to have a package for a 1-month trial.

This is ideal for both server owners and developers and would allow people to see firsthand just how great it is and allow me to better document things right off the bat so people can have an enjoyable experience.

I know ELC just recently released, but I’m curious what you guys would like to see come next update? Here is a few things I thought of but would love your input!

  • Streamed Siren Support
  • bluePRINT SyncĀ® style syncing (sync light patterns between vehicles)
  • ā€˜park mode’ setting
  • arrow boards (would need modeler help :))

Not even sorry for the tag. @LondonStudios - Arrow sign / configureable trailer for construction sites? With ELC?

Yes, at the time I did plan to open source it due to there not being an allowed way to protect it. With that in mind though this just ensures that ELC will continue to be updated and wont die-off

For those of you that have voted for ā€œStreamed Siren Supportā€, I have good news! This month’s update will include options in the vehicle VCF to use streamed sirens!

In an effort to help create transparency, feel free to visit the chance log to features/changes ready for the next update. I will be doing my best to provide an update around the middle/3rd FULL week of each month.
