anyone know how to make it possible for the plates to show up in the rockstar editor as well?
I have not had any luck getting them working in vMenu. Would you be willing to share how you did that?
You’ll need to modify the textures of the plates in your game files for GTA V itself most likely, which means you’ll have the same plates for different servers if you play and make content form different servers.
I have taken a massive crack tonight at the plates, managed to upgrade my vMenu to show the vanity plates however the textures are not being applied to these plates. Been troubleshooting it all night and i’m at a loss.
Edit: it is suddenly working, turns out I had ended up putting formatting and normals in the code for the mod_plates and by reverting them to the stock values minus names for when I update plates, they work!
If you guys need an upgraded vMenu, go to their discord and you’ll see a couple instances where it’s uploaded in chat
Been using this great script for a while now, Im not sure if anyone else has had this issue before, but I’ve got this issue where whenever I try to use the “normalName” section, the script will error out and not function with the
“SCRIPT ERROR : @.xnPlates/plate.lua:28: Attempt to index an nil value (local ‘plateOverride’)”
Being thrown out into the console, Ive tried reinstalling the script and trying other Normals but nothing seems to work, Is anyone able to help?
Edit : passed the code off to someone else, they instantly figured out that I had put a full stop instead of a comma, hours of me dabbling with code made me oblivious to the tiny mistake, sorry about that 
Edit 2 : Come across another issue that this time I have made sure to double check, with the new plates from the Chop Shop DLC still have their coloured text, is there any way to override that on the server side? or does that have to be a 100% client side edit
