Fps degrades over time only in fiveM

Hello. Whenever i play FiveM, i’ll start at getting around 50 fps on high settings, after about 15 minutes of play time my fps will start to drop and after about 3 hours my fps will be down to the mid 20’s constantly. i don’t get this problem when playing GTA V or any other game i play. i don’t think its related to heat since my laptop actually runs cooler playing FiveM than when i play GTA V and i dont think its a RAM issue since when i play i use Razor Cortex to free up ram which usually means i have about 1.5gb of RAM free when playing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Seeing as you are playing on a laptop I would say that it is a thermal issue. It is very known that components like CPU and GPU slow down due to temperature, to keep the components safe.

Thanks for the reply, but i don’t think it is. when i play Vanilla GTA V my laptop runs hotter than what it does on FiveM and i don’t get this issue when playing GTA V. also when i play other games i don’t get this issue

I would personally suggest HWMonitor for this, there you can monitor temps and clocks at the same time.

Laptops are more prone to thermal throttling than conventional Desktop PCs.

Run a 10min test with normal GTA V and FiveM then post your results here.

Normal use CPU 50c GPu 35. GTA V CPU 70 GPU 56. FiveM CPU 68 GPU 52

Maybe this might help us understand the issue better, if you know how to do it, fire up the windows performance monitor and set it up to collect some stats about fivem.
