I have resolved the issue!

It was Red Dead just crashing during download. I don’t have any idea as to why, but I found a way to download updates I needed from the launcher rather than the game.

  1. Take a note of the version you need for the server (in this case 1355).
  2. Create a RedM shortcut (if you do not have one).
  3. Right-click the shortcut and select properties.
  4. Under Shortcut, find the Target field.
  5. At the end of the field, add " -bXXXX" (without the quotations and including the space) where XXXX is the desired version number.

Hopefully, that should allow it to download for the version you need without crashing in the game.
