thank you for helping ill do that
I think i fixed this by allowing Windows defender to allow a “threat” FiveM was giving.

Can somebody from FiveM staff actually confirm this is not a Trojan?
… why would it be? adhesive.dll is protected using VMProtect, and Windows Defender (primarily) is notorious for assuming anything using VMP is a virus.

Don’t know, just asking lol.
can confirm this is happening now to me as of a update 10 minutes ago, requires allowing folder thru defender to work again.
I have the same problem. But the thing is it worked fine untill yesterday. Is it some FiveM update or the windows defender update?
I’m pretty scared to allow windows defender to ignore certain files…
its not a virus perhaps read peoples posts.
add fivem to your exception list.
I am also getting this, this morning, while fiveM is trying to update and giving this error… FiveM is already added as an exception to my antivirus.

This was flagged by the antivirus, updated after allowing it!
as stated before, read peoples posts… add fivem to your exception list and delete your cache and let it re-install fivem.
make sure you are adding the whole folder otherwise disable Windows Defender or install something such as avast as it will auto disable defender and i have no issues with fivem using avast.
