FiveM won’t launch – “Failed to read critical Windows information”

What is the issue you’re having?

Hello,

I’m having an issue when launching FiveM. I always get this message:

“Failed to read critical Windows information. This may indicate an unusual system configuration. Please ensure you’re using a standard Windows installation.”

I have tried:

  • Full Windows 10 repair install using Media Creation Tool
  • sfc /scannow and DISM /RestoreHealth
  • Secure Boot is off
  • Not running as administrator
  • Fresh FiveM install
  • BIOS is clean (ASUS TUF A15 laptop)

System:

  • Windows 10 Home 64-bit
  • AMD Ryzen 7 4800H
  • ASUS FA506IU
  • 16 GB RAM

In the past, there might have been tools or configurations that modified system identifiers, but I now run a clean system and want to play normally.

Can someone help me understand what’s missing or flagged so I can fix it?

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

  • Clean FiveM reinstall
  • Full Windows 10 repair install with Media Creation Tool
  • sfc /scannow and DISM restore
  • Disabled Secure Boot
  • Tried with and without admin privileges

What server did you get this issue on?

Additional comments

In the past, there might have been spoofing tools or modified system info, but the system is now clean and legit. I just want to play normally. Would appreciate help identifying what FiveM fails to read.
