Legit or Pirate copy: legit.

Did you try to delete content_index.xml and try again?
System specifications: ryzen 3900x / 2070 super / 32 gb of ram / SSD and HDD/SSD.

Which antivirus/firewall software are you using? windows virus protection
Did you try to disable/uninstall your Anti-virus? yes, multiple times.

Important parts

What is the issue you’re having? I downloaded a fresh version of GTA5 then downloaded FiveM after, but I am having issues as soon as I start up fiveM it freezes on the update. If I close it and try again, sometimes it will go further but the last few times it just keeps stopping. I have no issues downloading anything else on my PC. One time I was able to get it started but when I attempted to join a server, it said I need to update to a different version and began freezing again. I have reinstalled FiveM multiple times along with turning off firewall and antivirus but I am still having issues. In the past I have never dealt with this issue.

What are you trying to do? I am trying to install FiveM

What have you tried already to fix the issue? verified game files multiple time, Reinstalled GTA5 3 times and fiveM over 10 times. I have tried installing with anti virus and firewall off.

What did you do to get this issue? just installed a fresh version of both gta 5 and fivem

What server did you get this issue on? Be specific and name some, ‘all of them’ by itself isn’t useful!
